Pronunciation:

"i" is pronounced like the "ee" in "bee"
"a" is pronounced like "ah"
"o" is pronounced like the "o" in "go"
"u" is pronounced like "oo" in "cool" (but with spread lips, not rounded)
"ou" (sometimes written "ō") is pronounced as a longer "o"
"oo" is also pronounced as as a longer "o"
